wisdom
When it is as cold as it has been here lately, it is best not to leave a banana in your car overnight.
going postal (in the sticks)
So I get Teha's package wrapped, and drop it at the Longmire post office in the Inn. It has a sign saying, Post office, so I am feeling pretty good about it.
He tells me the postage, which seemed low, so I made a mental note to check. Back at desk, it is nonstop noise, and I forget to check until a minute ago. Well he was way off on the postage. I go back, and the package already picked up.
The attendant whined that they never trained him, and there was nothing he could do. Perhaps I could chase the truck to Tacoma. I amped it up slightly. "This is a post office right? I paid what you asked, right? And now you want me to chase a truck? There must be a better way..." The hotel guests in lobby were starting to act nervous.
Anyway the dude fired up, called the Ashford post office and had them pull it. He said he was going there anyway to check his mail (apparently he did not trust the Longmire PO either), and he said he would fix the postage. Which actually is very nice.
So now it has a fighting chance of getting to Teha.

Goodwill
I sometimes wish I lived in a Goodwill collections box. It would be handy to just wiggle around in the morning, and end up dressed. Presumably with a different outfit every day.
who knew?
I was possibly the last person on earth to realized Adam Ant was 'adamant' deconstructed. The texture of life continues to amaze.
